David Preston

David Preston, founder of Intelliverse Press

Welcome aboard! Like many of you, I've come to AI the long way around. Thirty years at Honeywell, an Arizona CPA license, an MBA from ASU, a career built on spreadsheets and supplier contracts... none of it prepared me for the first evening I sat down with ChatGPT and asked it to do something useful. What I got back was mush. I figured the tool was overhyped. Turns out the problem was me, and it took a good many evenings at the kitchen table before I understood the difference. That's why Intelliverse Press exists. I'm not a computer scientist. I'm a guy who learned this in the margins of a full-time job, and kept notes on every wrong turn so you wouldn't have to take them. Yeah...I've sat through a lot of YouTube tutorials. Still do. Most of them move too fast and skip the exact part I need, and that skipped part is what goes in my books. Today I run a fleet of AI agents, and most of them have nothing to do with publishing. One handles the grocery order. One builds the agenda for a church meeting I've run for years. The rest chip away at the drudgery, the hundred small tasks that used to eat my evenings. They hand me back hours every week, and I spend those hours writing, or with my family. So when I tell you this pays off, I'm not guessing. I wrote *AI Fundamentals* for the person who's been told they're behind and has no interest in being talked down to. We don't dumb it down here... we open it up.

Every book we publish is a doorway rather than a destination. The pages get you moving; the Vault behind them holds the audio, the visuals, and the practice that makes it stick. When the field shifts, we update the book. We teach the one best way we know so far, and we say so plainly. My aim is simple. I want to move you from AI curious to AI confident, and I'll be walking a few steps ahead of you the whole way.

The Imprint

Intelliverse Press

Intelliverse Press publishes books that don't end at the last page. Each one opens into a vault of audio companions, visuals, and hands-on practice — and gets updated when the field moves. We write for capable people who are new to AI. We don't dumb it down. We open it up.
